He also addresses the moons orbit around the earth and how it affects tides, along with neap tides and spring tides. He leaves us with a question about tides during certain times of the day: "Suppose you go to the beach to dig clams at the time of an extra low tide. Is it reasonable to assume that in about six hours, the hight tide that follows will be extra high?"
